Cox/Cock Extracts from the 1851 Census for Berkshire

This county is also known as Berks within the basin of the river Thames. It has inhabited in ancient British times, by two tribes whom the Roman invaders called Bibroci and Attrebatii, and became part of the Roman Britannia Prima. It then formed part of the Saxon Kingdom of Wessex being known as Berroscire. Many remains of previous occupiers are found in the barrows and camps.

These are the only parishes that are able to be processed at present, and some are not entirely complete, please contact me for more information  - Thank-you for looking!
